Curriculum Vitae

Specialized in computing systems. My coursework involved information security, computer networks, network science, high-performance computing, operating systems, and deterministic optimization.

Completed a minor in Spatial Studies through courses on geographic information systems, topology, and differential geometry. Most of my coursework revolved around matrix analysis, numerical analysis, and operations research. I also had the chance to participate in the UCSB math department's directed reading program under Garo Sarajian, where we covered topics in number theory and elliptic curve cryptography for a brief six months. I later worked under Mike Johnson on topics in hydrology and GIS, particularly on machine learning models for predicting Manning's n.

I started my education at this community college. I was part of the computer science club run by Kathy Kanemoto.

As a site reliability engineer, I supported Akamai's caching edge servers and a distributed key/value system, running on an expansive network of machines, in the Security Technology Group's Application Security division. Much of my work has been focusing on performance, observability, and incident response.

While at Lynker, I supported the NOAA Office of Water Prediction as a scientific software engineer. I worked on the Next Generation Water Modeling Engine (ngen) and the Hydrofabric.

I served as a reservist at the 23rd Combat Communication squadron, where I had the opportunity to work with so many exceptionally skilled people in radio frequency/satellite communications, network engineering, and cybersecurity. I was a 1D771W (previously a 1D7X1B and 3D0X2). Additionally, I fulfilled jobs duties as a Trusted Key Agent and COMSEC Responsible Officer. I finished my time at the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5). I sometimes refer to this experience with the titles: Network and Systems Administrator, Cyber Systems Operations, or Cyber Defense Systems Operations.
